手野金刀比羅神社（阿蘇市一の宮町手野 ）
勘違いだと思うが、苔むした石畳の参道から、祠のような神殿を拝むと、その向こう側に山頂が見える。
その佇まいにとにかく感動したことを数年たった今でも覚えている。
藤谷神社 （阿蘇市竹原）
藤谷神社 は、8世紀から始まる歴史のある神社で、しずかな山間にひっそりと鎮座しています。
大東亜戦争（第二次世界大戦）以前は大切な人の無事を祈る参拝客があとを経たなかったとか。
阿蘇神社 （阿蘇市）
